Please note that this tournament is a regular individual stroke play tournament on our schedule however we have added an additional fun competition “team” element to it for all players. As normal we will record your individual player scores. In addition, on this occasion, we will also give you the opportunity to compete as a team player for additional prize awards.  Teams will consist of either two or three players. Below this message you will find your individual player tee times and yardages. The group you are shown in is also your “team” for this one for both days of play. We will commence play on Saturday and Sunday at 12.00 pm on number 1 of The Memorial Course with our back 9 on both days on The Heritage Course at Eagle Ridge GC.

It is important that all players check in on arrival with Fiona at our Golfer Registration Desk. Registration will be open from 10.00 am. We do need to know you have arrived with us and if any changes are necessary, we will communicate these to you at that stage. Range tokens will also be issued to players at check-in by Fiona. It’s also extremely important to check that we have the correct phone number on file for you in the event that we need to contact you quickly while you are on the course.

Carts are available for rent for players who wish to use them, they can be rented via the Pro Shop by all players 16 and above with a valid driver’s license. Cost is $25 plus tax, and these are available on a first come basis and not guaranteed.  Please note at most Claret Junior Tour competitions we are happy for players who meet the venue’s requirements to rent and drive carts OR, if are a younger player, a parent can drive them. If you prefer to walk during competition play this is also acceptable. Whichever option you take, please remember that it is extremely important EVERY player maintains a good pace of play.

Please note caddies are also permitted at our tournament events for players up to the age of 15 only. Caddies MUST comply with USGA caddie rules at all times and pace of play MUST be observed. If your group falls behind play, we will request you play quicker, if a second request is necessary, we will request you play “Ready Golf”. If a single individual player is causing a pace of play issue and the player or group has been advised already, we will monitor and if necessary, add penalty stroke(s) for further instances of slow play. Electronic devices that assist with yardages are also acceptable for use at this competition.

This competition will be ranked by iWanamaker rankings and by JGS. (Junior Golf Scoreboard). Official scoring for this tournament for ALL players will be made by inputting scores into our dedicated online scoring app which can be downloaded from your online app store by searching for CJGT. You will find that your tee time and pairing information as shown below have been pre-loaded in the app already.

If you are using the CJGT scoring app for the first time, you will first have to register in the CJGT app. The app looks like this in your app store:

  Registration for players is always FREE. **IMPORTANT NOTE ** If you are a parent and registering a player please register in the player’s name, use the players email wherever possible and ALWAYS tick the box that says you are a junior golfer, see below example. If you do not follow this instruction and you click the parent/spectator box in error you will be taken to a pay screen and your player will lose access to scoring. Once you are registered you can then search for this competition in the Find an Event area where you will find the full list of players and tee times.

Once players are registered, scoring via the app is a simple process but if you do need any assistance with it please ask prior to play and we will be happy to help. Please bear in mind that YOUR score on each hole is ultimately YOUR responsibility even if you are not the person within your group who is inputting it to the app. We always suggest that you double check it has been entered correctly before you finalize it on the final hole. If you do notice ANY discrepancy, please bring it to our attention immediately.

As always, we will be operating a nearest-the-pin competition on Sunday, sponsored by Edwin Watts Golf, with a gift card prize from our sponsor for the player who hits it closest. More information on this will be given to you before play begins.

Please make your way to the 1st tee of The MemorialCourse 10 minutes before play where we will provide a short briefing to players on any local rules that may apply to this competition. On this occasion we will also supply you with a tournament rules sheet at registration and the rules are also listed and shown in the CJGT app.

Weather text service: Please rest assured player safety is always our priority and if it becomes necessary at any of our tournaments to shelter in place or return to the clubhouse, we will immediately advise you by text so please keep your phone handy at all times. Please ensure you are prepared, as much as possible, for fast-changing weather conditions. The weekend forecast suggests cloudy conditions and HIGH temperatures with the possibility of afternoon rain so please come prepared. Always check the forecast hasn’t changed before you leave for the golf course and bring plenty of water and snacks with you.

Following play on Saturday, we will confirm and agree the scores in the CJGT app are correct with you. Please do NOT leave the venue after play until we have agreed scores in app are correct with you, if you do we cannot include your scores going forward to day two. Once finalized please return carts as quickly as you can before heading home. On Saturday evening we will email you tee times for Sunday final day of play. All presentation awards for individual low scorers in each age group and a team award will take place on Sunday following play.
