Good afternoon everyone and thank you for your player registration for this weekend’s, iWanamaker and Junior Golf Scoreboard ranked, 36-hole stroke play Junior Tournament event at Orange Lake Golf Resort in Kissimmee. Please note that play will begin on each day at 12.30 Pm from Tee Box 1. Tomorrow we will play The Legends Course and on Sunday we will play The Reserve Course. Please follow the signage at the resort to the correct course and please arrive in good time to allow for player warm up etc. Our registration/check in area, by the club shop entrance, will be open from 10.30 am on both days. Every player MUST check in on BOTH days before play. At this stage we will provide information regarding local rules, your tee time, the golf cart collection procedure etc. We will also request that you provide an on-course contact number. Please note it is extremely important that we have your updated contact number as we are now well into in the season when weather can change quickly and be extremely unpredictable. If we need to stop play immediately for safety reasons, we need to ensure we can message you and/or your group to advise you of this quickly. Once check in is complete players can head to the range and practice areas. Range balls will be available for players to warm up before play. Please ensure you are on the tee at least 10 minutes before your tee time. Players late to the tee may incur a 2-stroke penalty.

For this tournament a golf cart has been included for each player. When you check in Fiona will advise when to collect cart as they will be issued to players in tee time order. Please note that only players who hold a valid drivers license are permitted to drive a golf cart.  You may be asked to show your license before cart can be issued.  All younger players can be driven by a parent/coach or caddie. Please note that we have been advised by the venue that additional spectator carts cannot always be guaranteed. Spectator carts, if there are any, will only be offered to spectators once all player requirements for carts have been met at a cost of $25 plus tax.

CADDIES: Please note caddies are only permitted at our tour events for players aged 15 and under. Caddies for aged 16+ players are NOT permissible at any of our tournaments. Caddies must observe USGA caddie rules at all times and pace of play MUST be observed.

Water is available for players on the 1st tee, please bring enough additional water, energy drinks and snacks for on-course. It is important that you remain hydrated and energized to be in a position to play your best possible golf.

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING PLAYER SCORING, PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.

Official player scoring at our tournaments is submitted online by players into our dedicated scoring app. Please note using this app is a condition of the competition and no other form of scoring is acceptable, If you haven’t used our app before, please search in your phone’s app store for CJGT and download it. Here’s what the app logo looks like when searching:

If you are using the app for the first time you will need to download and register as a player and in the PLAYER’s NAME. You will need an email address and you will be asked to create a password to access live scoring.  If player does not have an email, you may use your own email but please always register under the players name only.

The app is always completely FREE for players to use. When you are first registering, and when you are asked if you are a junior golfer or a parent/spectator, under NO circumstance should you click on parent/spectator. If you register incorrectly you will be asked to pay a subscription fee by iWanamaker, the app provider, and at the same time you will lock your junior golfer out of live scoring. Parents can subscribe later after player is registered if you require access to follow live scoring (view only) at all of our tournaments. Please complete the process of player registration before you arrive at the venue and if you do need help please ask before you arrive at the venue if possible as  iWanamaker support are often unable to assist with log in issues once a tournament has begun.

Once registered you can search for the event in the app, you will find that all of the pairings shown below are already pre-loaded. Recording a player score is a simple process once you begin play however, please ask if you need assistance …and please remember to charge your phone!

REMINDER; Using the app for scoring is a condition of this competition and no other form of scoring is acceptable. We also advise that you keep a personal note of scores using a manual scorecard as a backup source of scoring. This will only be requested from you should any issues arise with online scoring.

On both days of play this weekend we will also add an additional fun element with a “Nearest the pin” competition, sponsored by Edwin Watts Golf at Lady Lake. On each day of play Edwin Watts Golf will provide our winner with a Gift card prize. Nearest the Pin hole for Saturday play will be hole number 15.

AWARDS: All awards and prizes will be presented on Sunday following play. All players have been grouped into age-based player flights and a CJGT winner’s medal will be presented to only the lowest scoring player in each flight group. In addition to flight winner medals we will make 2 additional special player awards of an *FSGA/FJT STEP Exemption Award to guarantee entry into your choice of any FJT Tournament in the next 12 months. This weekend we have FJT STEP Awards available for one lowest scoring player aged 16+ and one lowest scoring player aged 13/15 Please note that to win an FJT STEP Exemption Award player MUST be a current Claret Tour Annual Member Player prior to the tournament beginning. Any player who is NOT currently an Annual Membership player, and who wishes to take Membership for a full year, beginning from date of joining, can do so before tournament begins by clicking HERE

If necessary, in the event of a tied score in any player flight, sudden death extra hole play-offs will be used to decide a winner. The number of holes will be advised prior to the play-off commencing. If after the agreed number has been reached players are still all square the play off will be decided on the putting green area.

On Saturday Evening, following first day of play, we will forward final day pairings. Pairings will be based on Day 1 scoring.
