Good morning and thank you for your player registration for this weekend’s iWanamaker and Junior Golf Scoreboard ranked 36-hole stroke play event at Harbor Hills Country Club in Lady Lake. This is our 2024 season tournament number 21 and we are pleased to be returning to this Lady Lake venue which is always in great all-round condition.

Please note that play will begin on each day at 11.30 am from Tee Box 1 and our registration area beside the club shop entrance will open from 9.30 am tomorrow. Every player MUST check in with Fiona who will provide information regarding our local rules, your tee time, the golf cart collection procedure and she will request an on-course contact number from you. Please note it is important that we have your updated contact number correct as we are now in the season when weather can change quickly and be extremely unpredictable. If we need to stop play immediately for safety reasons, we need to ensure we can message you and/or your group to advise you of this quickly. Once check in is complete players can head to the range and practice areas. Range balls will be available for players to warm up before play. Please ensure you are on the tee at least 10 minutes before your tee time. Players late to the tee may incur a 2-stroke penalty.

For this tournament a golf cart has been included for each player. When you check in Fiona will advise when to collect cart as they will be issued to players in tee time order. Please note that only players aged 16 who hold a valid license are permitted to drive a golf cart. You may be asked to show your license before cart can be issued.  All younger players can be driven by a parent/coach or caddie. Please note that we have been advised by Harbor Hills Management that additional spectator carts cannot always be guaranteed. Spectator carts, if there are any, will only be offered to spectators once all player requirements for carts have been met.

Players who prefer to walk are always welcome to do so however we will remind you that it is extremely important that ALL players, either riding or walking, maintain a steady pace of play at all times.

CADDIES: Please note caddies are only permitted at our tour events for players aged 15 and under. Caddies for aged 16+ players are NOT permissible at any of our tournaments. Caddies must observe USGA caddie rules at all times and pace of play MUST be observed.

Water is available for players on the 1st tee, please bring enough additional water, energy drinks and snacks for on-course. It is important that you always stay hydrated and energized to be in a position to play your best possible golf.

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING PLAYER SCORING, PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.

ALL official player scoring at our tournaments is submitted online by players into our dedicated scoring app. Please note using this app is a condition of the competition and no other form of scoring is acceptable, If you haven’t used our app before, please search in your phone’s app store for CJGT and download it. Here’s what the app logo looks like when searching:

If you are using the app for the first time you will need to download and register as a player and in the PLAYER’s NAME. You will need an email address and you will be asked to create a password to access live scoring.  If player does not have an email, you may use your own email but please always register under the players name only.

The app is always free for players to use so when you are first registering, and you are asked if you are a junior golfer or a parent/spectator under NO circumstance should you click on parent/spectator when registering a player. If you do you will be asked to pay a subscription fee by iWanamaker the app provider and you will lock your junior golfer out of live scoring. Please complete the process of registration before you arrive at the venue and if you do need help please ask before you arrive at the venue as often iWanamaker support are unavailable to assist with log in issues at weekends.

Once registered you can search for the event, and you will find that all of the pairings shown below are already pre-loaded. Recording a player score is a simple process once you begin play however, please ask when you arrive if you need assistance …and don’t forget to charge your phone!

Please note that using the app for scoring is a condition of this competition and no other form of scoring is acceptable. We will advise that you also keep a note of scores using a manual scorecard as a backup plan should any issues arise with online scoring.

On both days of play this weekend we will also add an additional fun element with a “Nearest the pin” competition, sponsored by Edwin Watts Golf at Lady Lake. On each day of play Edwin Watts Golf will provide our winner with a Gift card prize. Nearest the Pin tomorrow is on number 8.

AWARDS: All awards and prizes will be presented on Sunday following play. All players have been grouped into age-based player flights and a CJGT winner’s medal will be presented to the lowest scoring player only in each flight. In addition to flight winner medals following play on Sunday we will make up to 3 additional special player awards of an *FSGA/FJT STEP Exemption Award to guarantee entry into your choice of an FJT Tournament in the next 12 months. We have FJT STEP Awards available for our lowest scoring MALE player in the 16+ Age Group (St Andrews Flight) and the lowest scoring MALE between the age of 13/15 (Troon and Carnoustie Flights combined) In addition we have an award available for lowest scoring FEMALE player in our 14/16’s (Muirfield Flight). If necessary, in the event of a tied score in any player flight, extra hole play-offs will be used to decide a winner. The number of holes will be advised prior to the play-off commencing. If after the agreed number has been reached players are still all square the play off will be decided on the putting green area.

As each age-based flight group finishes on Sunday we will conduct prize award presentations in the registration area, Please show good sportsmanship and support the medal winners at the presentation of the flight you are competing in IF you are able to stay and do so.
