Good evening everyone,

Tomorrow’s field for the final  of our Season end Finale Championship at Glenview Champions in The Villages is now complete and the player listing of individual tee times, yardages and pairings are attached. The golf course rotation for Sunday will be Fox Run front 9 followed by Stirrup Cup back 9 holes.

On arrival, if you require the use of a golf cart rental, please pick one up from the staff member at the rental station in the parking lot and then make your way to the ProShop to pay for it. Rental carts are $20 plus tax. Sharing between players is permitted and no more than two players in a cart please at all times. Under NO circumstances should any player ride on the back of a rental cart at this venue.

We request that players take responsibility for ensuring they maintain a good pace of play. This applies to all players regardless of walking or riding in carts. On Saturday and Sunday we will have volunteers assisting us and part of their role will be to help monitor pace of play and advise where gaps between groups may have formed. If it is required we will request that you pick up the pace and keep up with the group ahead of you.

Registration tomorrow will again be outside the ProShop. Please ensure you check in with Fiona who will confirm your tee time. Please ensure we have a valid contact number to reach you during each day’s competition. Range balls will be available prior to play at the practice area. Please only use the designated bays that have been allocated to us at the driving range. You will be advised of these at check in.

Please make your way to the 1st tee no later than 10 minutes before your tee time to allow for a short local rules briefing.

Players are, in some cases, in age mixed groups tomorrow as we have tried, where possible, to ensure pairings are based on Day one placings. All players will play from appropriate age-based yardages which are shown below. After 36 holes are completed and, if it becomes necessary as a result of two or more players in a flight recording the same 36-hole score, extra hole play-offs will be used to decide a winner and the number of holes and course used will be advised prior to the play-off commencing. If after the agreed number has been reached players are still tied the winning medalist will be decided by a chip-off or by putting at an agreed green or practice area.

Caddies ARE permitted for this event and USGA caddie rules will apply at all times. Electronic devices which assist with yardages are also permitted for this event.

Please note official scoring for this tournament will only be accepted when input on a hole-by-hole basis into the iWanamaker scoring app. Tomorrow’s competition is already pre-loaded with all player info in the app. You can search for the event from the “Find an Event” area of the app. The app looks like this.

Please download the app in advance of arrival and, if using for the first time, please register using the players name. If you need help with the app please speak to a member of staff BEFORE play begins.

PLEASE NOTE THIS ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT NOTE on SCORING:

Please note that using the app for scoring is a condition of this competition. We will also issue paper scorecards to all players at this event and we request that these ALSO be completed. The paper scorecard is a necessary back up which will only be referred to should there be any issues with the online app, discrepancy or disagreement regarding player scoring. At the first tee we will have paper cards available.

At the end of each day’s play we ask that you agree scores together within your player group and once agreed you deposit your paper scorecards in the box by 18th green before you depart. We require all players to agree to this amended scoring system prior to the beginning of play. If any player fails to record scores in this way their score will not be counted in this event.

Please note that we will issue bottled water to players on the first tee. We suggest you also bring your own supply and stay hydrated at all times. There are also water refill stations and bathrooms on the course at various points.

On Sunday afternoon the lowest scoring player from each age group-based player flight will be presented with a Claret Junior Tour Flight Winners medal and recognition prize and our lowest scorer overall after both rounds, regardless of age or flight, will receive a unique Glass Claret Jug trophy that comes with the win.

In addition to the above we will provide each of the lowest scoring flight winners in the age groups 13-15 and 16+(Jubilee Course Flight and Old Course Flight) with an FSGA/FJT STEP Exemption which will be credited to them to assist in gaining entry to a future FJT event of your choice.

On each day of this tournament we will also operate a “double value” Nearest the Pin Competition sponsored by Edwin Watts Golf. Prize each day will be a $50 Edwin Watts Gift Card. On Saturday number 17 (Stirrup Cup Course) will be the chosen hole for this competition and it will also be scored by inputting details directly into the app.

Please note there will be a number of additional recognition awards made to players at the prize presentation ceremony including a “most improved day on day score award” We will try to keep the awards ceremony as brief as we can and we, and the players, very much appreciate if you can be there to offer your sportsmanship, support and congratulations to all of the players.

Sunday start times are also from 11.56 and we anticipate the tournament awards ceremony will take place around 5.30 or earlier, once all players have completed 36 holes.

Tee times, pairings, yardages etc. are all listed below. Enjoy the rest of your Saturday evening and we look forward to seeing you all tomorrow. Please note our contact number if you need to get in touch before play tomorrow, Call Keith on 716 436 8691.
