Thank you for your player entry for our 18-Hole and 36-Hole tournaments which are taking place at the renowned and spectacular Mission Inn Resort this weekend. Mission Inn is Florida’s most historic venue and hosts numerous Professional and Amateur tournament events each year. It is also, for the 13th year running, this year’s host venue for the FHSAA (Florida High School) State Championships. Mission Inn Resort and we are expecting it to be in excellent shape throughout. Full information, resort details and directions are available by clicking HERE

Please note that this weekend, if you have signed up for our 36-hole tournament, we will have the opportunity to play both of the great courses at Mission Inn. If you have signed up to play 18 holes only with us you will only play the course you chose. The order of play for courses is El Campeon – Saturday and Las Colinas – Sunday. Below you will find tee times, pairings and flight information if you are playing our 36 holes Tournament and tee times for Saturday only (El Campeon)

If you are playing Sunday only (Las Colinas) we will email you on Saturday evening with your tee times, at the same time we will email our 36 Hole Tournament players, with their Final Day Sunday tee times.

First tee time Saturday for El Campeon Tournament will be 12.30 pm and Sunday for Las Colinas will be the same (12.30pm). Player groups will depart at 8-minute intervals. It’s important that ALL players are at the tee at least 10 minutes before play for player introductions and a short local rule briefing.

On arrival at Mission Inn please check in with Fiona each day at our Claret Tour Registration Area which is situated alongside the cart rental station. Registration will open at 10.45 am. Fiona will confirm your tee time and on course contact info and then direct you to your rental cart. A cart has been included in the entry cost of the event for EVERY player. Please do NOT remove your named cart until advised and only AFTER you have checked in. Please be careful to take your own named cart and not someone else’s!

It is essential that we have a contact number for every player out on the course for safety reasons and in the event, we need to message you in case of emergency or to advise of any incoming weather issues that may force you to take temporary shelter. The weather right now can be a little unpredictable so please be prepared for it. Bringing wet weather gear/umbrellas is always a good idea just in case! It is also advisable to ensure you have with you a good supply of water, energy drinks and snacks.

Weather text service: Please rest assured player safety is always our priority and if it becomes necessary at any of our tournaments to shelter or return to the clubhouse, we will immediately advise you by text and sound one long blast of the air horn to stop play immediately. Should this be necessary please observe this safety request immediately.

As many of you know at our tournaments, we have always given you the option of walking, with bag or trolley, or riding in carts. IMPORTANT, on this occasion we respectfully request that, if possible, players take advantage of the rental cart that’s included in the cost of entry. This is just a request and not mandatory. We do have a busy field of players this weekend and we must ensure that a steady pace of play is maintained throughout the day. El Campeon is a very challenging venue with many elevation changes and some travel between greens and tees. Riding carts will help ensure pace of play is maintained. If you DO still wish to walk, please be advised that you must keep pace with the group in front of you. If your group falls behind, you will be asked to immediately remedy the situation. If the issue with the group is caused by player(s) walking, you will be asked to use the rental cart that was allocated to you. If this is not possible and the player(s) cannot keep pace we will monitor your group and if necessary, put you on notice that penalty strokes may be added to your score(s) if you cannot close the gap with the group ahead of you.

Additional carts MAY be available for spectators but cannot be guaranteed. They are available on a first come basis for spectators at a cost of $40 plus tax. Please also remember the new golf cart policy that now exists in Florida. No one under aged 15 may rent/drive a golf cart. Players aged 15 and above who wish to rent/drive a golf cart MUST be in possession of a valid Drivers Permit or Driver’s License to do so.

We will score Saturday’s event using the CJGT online scoring app. If you are attending your first CJT event, please download the app by searching for CJGT in your app store and register as a junior golfer and only by using your player’s name. Please do not register as a parent or spectator as this will take you to a payment page. Players only have full FREE access to the scoring app and it is important you register as a player. You can then search for the event, and you will see that all players are already loaded in tee time format. The app is very easy to use and if you do need any assistance please speak with a member of staff in advance of play. When searching for the app please note it looks like this:

All official scoring for this tournament must be input into the app on a hole completed basis. We will also ask that you still keep/complete a scorecard for your own use/records. The paper card is useful to do a double check of scores if any discrepancies are found in the app following play but ONLY the scores you enter into the app and verified by player and scorer prior to final submission will be accepted. Please remember your score is YOUR responsibility. Even if another member of the group, you are playing with agrees to submit everyone’s scores into the app it is still YOUR responsibility to check these scores are input correctly with him/her BEFORE they are finally submitted at the end of play.

Please note that we set player yardages/tee boxes for our tournaments based on player age and the suggested yardage guidelines follow the general junior guidance of both the USGA and R&A.

Nearest The Pin Competition. We will offer a gift card prize from our sponsor, Edwin Watts Golf, for the player closest to the pin each day. The measurement should be logged into the CJGT scoring app and the hole used for the competition on El Campeón tomorrow will be number 8.

All players have been grouped into player flights and a CJT winner’s medal will be presented to the lowest scoring player in each flight. On Saturday we will only present a medal award to the lowest scorer(s) in our 18 Hole tournament player flights. All other medalist awards will be made following play on Sunday.*Asterisk by player name in the Player Information belowshows he/she is playing one day only and not participating in 36 Hole Tournament. A medal award will be given to all Flight Winners of both the 18 and 36-Hole Tournaments. An FJT STEP Exemption Award will be made to the lowest scoring player in our Old Course Flight (36) and Annika Ladies Flight (36) on Sunday.

If necessary, in the event of a tied score in any player flight, extra hole play-offs will be used to decide a winner. The number of holes will be advised prior to the play-off commencing. If after the agreed number has been reached players are still tied the winning medalist will be decided by a chip or putt play-off. We always plan on doing these awards outdoor (weather permitting) by the large Mission Inn Scoreboard.
