Good afternoon everyone,

We are very much looking forward to welcoming you all to Eagle Ridge GC in Summerfield tomorrow for another great day of junior tournament golf. Please note that this tournament is being operated as an individual single day event with some players joining us for 18 holes tomorrow. For other players, shown below with scores, tomorrow represents their final round of our 36 hole midweek tournament series. As a result player flights will operate separately and will be dependent upon which tournament you are playing in.

Below this message you will find individual tee times, pairings, yardages and player flight info. We will commence play at 11.30 AM on number 1 of The Champions Course and our back 9 tomorrow will be on The Masters Course.

It is important that all players check in on arrival with Fiona at our Golfer Registration Desk. Registration will be open from 9.30 am. We do need to know you have arrived with us and if any tee time changes are necessary, we will communicate these to you at that stage. Range tokens for warm up balls will also be issued to players at check-in by Fiona. It’s also extremely important to check that we have the correct phone number on file for you in the event that we need to contact you quickly while you are on the course.

Carts are available for rent for ALL players who wish to use them and they can be rented via the Pro Shop by all players with a valid driver’s license or parents who wish to drive alongside younger players. Cost is $25 plus tax. Please note at all Claret Junior Tour competitions we are happy for players to use carts either by themselves (with a valid driver’s license/permit) OR if younger with a parent or guardian alongside them. If you prefer to walk during competition play this is also acceptable. Whichever option you take, please remember that it is extremely important EVERY player maintains a good pace of play.

IMPORTANT NOTE: New cart rules in Florida meran no players under aged 15 can rent/drive golf carts. Carts can only be issued to players aged 15 or over with a valid permit or license which you may be asked to produce.

Please note caddies are also permitted at our tournament events for players aged 15 or less.. Caddies MUST comply with USGA caddie rules at all times and pace of play MUST be observed. If your group falls behind play, we will request you play quicker, If a second request is necessary we will request you play “Ready Golf”. If a single individual player is causing a pace of play issue and the player or group has been advised already we will monitor and if necessary add penalty stroke(s) for further instances of slow play. Electronic devices that assist with yardages are also acceptable for use at this competition.

This competition will be ranked by iWanamaker rankings (IWR) and GJGR. (Global Junior Golf Rankings). Official player scoring will only be accepted by inputting scores into our dedicated online scoring app which can be downloaded from your online app store by searching for CJGT. You will find that the player tee times as shown below have been pre-loaded in the app already. Please note that we no longer swap paper scorecards between players however we do strongly suggest that you keep and complete a paper scorecard which can be used as a backup to refer to should any discrepancies or errors be made in the app. If you are using the scoring app for the first time, you will first have to register in the CJGT app USING THE PLAYERS NAME EXACTLY AS IT WAS ENTERED WHEN YOU REGISTERED WITH US FOR THE EVENT.  Registration for players is always FREE. **IMPORTANT NOTE ** If you are a parent and registering a player on their behalf please register in the players name, use the players email wherever possible, and click on the box stating you are a junior golfer. If you do not follow this instruction and you click the parent/spectator box you will be taken to a pay screen and your player will lose access to scoring. Once you are registered you can then search for tomorrow’s competition in the Find an Event area where you will find the full list of players and tee times are pre-loaded.

Once players are registered, scoring via the app is a simple process but if you do need any assistance with it please ask prior to play and we will be happy to help. Please bear in mind that YOUR score on each hole is ultimately YOUR responsibility even if you are not the person within your group who is inputting it to the app. We always suggest that you double check it has been entered correctly before you finalize it on the final hole. If you do notice ANY discrepancy, please bring it to our attention immediately.

As always, we will be operating a nearest-the-pin competition tomorrow, sponsored by Edwin Watts Golf, for all players with a gift card prize from our sponsor for the winner, Tomorrow Champions number 4 will be used and all reporting of this competition should also be input into our dedicated CJGT scoring app following play of that hole.

Please make your way to the 1st tee of The Champions Course 10 minutes before play where we will provide a short briefing to players on any local rules that may apply to this competition.

Weather text service: Please rest assured player safety is always our priority and if it becomes necessary at any of our tournaments to shelter in place or return to the clubhouse, we will immediately advise you by text so please keep your phone handy at all times. Please ensure you are prepared, as much as possible, for fast-changing weather conditions. The forecast is for high temperatures and there is a risk of thunderstorms and rain in the afternoon so please prepare for the conditions accordingly and check the forecast hasn’t changed before you leave for the golf course,

Following play tomorrow, and as player flights finish, we will check and agree scores with you individually. Please do not leave the tournament before reporting to the scoring area to confirm your score is correct. If you leave without doing so without confirming a score we cannot include you in our final scoreboard or report your round to any rankings agency.  Following play we will present lowest scorers in each of the player flights with medal awards. In addition each our 3 lowest scoring players in our 36 hole tournament in the 12/13, 14/15 and 16+ flights will be presented with FJT STEP Exemption awards.
