HJT at Ocala GC on Saturday March 20th. Player Information now available.

Good evening everyone,

We have another great day of junior golf in prospect tomorrow at Ocala GC. We will commence play at 12.00 and all play will be from Tee number 1.

Below this message you will find individual tee times, pairings, yardages and flight info for tomorrow’s competition.

On arrival please check in with Fiona at our Golfer Registration Desk before picking up your golf cart. We need to know you have arrived and ensure that our players and parents get carts before spectators as these have been paid for in advance. They may require us to distribute our allocated carts to you at registration. If this changes Fiona will let you know the process.

We will also be operating a nearest-the-pin competition tomorrow with a prize for the winner. We will advise which par-3 hole this applies to prior to play tomorrow.

Once our player carts are allocated, spectator carts are available via the ProShop for players with a valid drivers license or parents accompanying younger players. Cost is $10 plus tax. Please note at all HJT competitions we are happy for players to use carts either by driving themselves(with a valid drivers license) OR if with a parent or guardian alongside them.

Please note caddies are also allowed at all HJT events. Caddies MUST comply with USGA caddie rules and pace of play MUST be observed. If your group falls behind play we will request you play “Ready Golf” in order to keep pace with the group in front. Electronic devices to assist with yardages are acceptable for use at this competition.

This competition will be ranked by GJGR. (Global Junior Golf Rankings) and scoring will be via our dedicated online scoring app which can be downloaded from your online app store by searching for HJT golf. You will find that the player tee times as shown below are loaded into the app already.

Scoring will only be accepted via the online app. We no longer use paper scorecards for (Covid-19) safety reasons. If you wish you may keep your own paper scorecard. If you do please do not swap between players. Once first registered in the HJT golf you can search for tomorrow’s competition where you will find the full list of players and tee times pre-loaded. Scoring via the app is a simple process but if you do need any assistance with it please ask prior to play and we will be happy to help.

Please make your way to the 1st tee at least 10 minutes before play where we will provide a short briefing to players on any local rules that may apply to this competition. Please be aware that the on-course water coolers are still not in use so please bring water with you and ensure you keep hydrated at all times.

Following play tomorrow or as player flights finish we will compile scores and conduct brief medal presentations. We always try to conduct these presentations as quickly as we can to ensure you are not waiting around too much but we, and our players, do always appreciate your support by attending if you possibly can. We will always try to do presentations in an open and safe area but please always follow social distancing rules.
