After an exciting first day of play at Candler Hills, and despite the rainfall and thunderstorms that cost us a 75 minute delay there is still a great deal to play for on Final Day Sunday. EVERY player in the field, regardless of score today, has the opportunity to challenge themselves again tomorrow against an exceptional golf course. Below is a reminder of the player information we issued to you before the start of this tournament which is still relevant. Also below this message you will find individual tee times, pairings, yardages and flight info for Sunday Final Day of this competition. We will commence all play tomorrow once again at 12.30 PM on hole number 1.

It is important that all players check in on arrival with Fiona at our Golfer Registration Desk which will be signposted by the Pro Shop. We will open check in at 10.30 AM. We do need to know you have arrived with us and if any tee time changes are necessary, we will communicate these to you at that point. Range balls information will also be issued to players at check-in by Fiona.

Bad weather policy: Should it become necessary to stop play for bad weather, and in particular when lightning is close to our location, we will issue text messages to all registered players. Safety of players and spectators is our number one priority and we ask that you ensure when you check in that we have the correct phone number on file in the event that we need to contact you with any weather update text message or relay any important info while you are out on the course. If your number is NOT the one you used on the Player Registration Form please update this at check-in.

All player and spectator cart enquiries should be made directly with the Pro Shop. If you require a golf cart rental the Pro Shop will issue these at a cost of $20 plus sales tax. Please note that rental carts are not always guaranteed for every player and where they are available they are issued on a first come basis with players given priority over spectators. Please remember the new golf cart policy that now exists in Florida. No one under aged 15 may rent/drive a golf cart. Players aged 15 and above who wish to rent/drive a golf cart MUST be in possession of a valid Drivers Permit or Drivers License to do so.

All players who prefer to walk, with trolley or carry bag, are always able to do so at all of our tournaments. If you do choose this option please remember that it is extremely important every player maintains a good pace of play. If you do not keep up with play we will immediately request that you take action to resolve this issue.

Please note caddies are only permitted at our tour events for players aged 15 or less. Caddies MUST observe USGA caddie rules and pace of play MUST be observed. Electronic devices to assist with yardages are also acceptable for use at this competition.

This 36-hole two-day competition will be ranked by Junior Golf Scoreboard and iWanamaker and scoring will only be accepted by inputting scores into our dedicated online scoring app, which can be downloaded from your phone’s app store by searching for CJGT

Once downloaded you will find that the player tee times, as shown below, are pre-loaded in the app already. Official Scoring will ONLY be accepted via the online app. While we no longer swap paper scorecards, we do still strongly recommend you keep a paper scorecard record too as this can be used as a backup to refer to should any discrepancies or errors be made in the app. If using the scoring app for the first time, download it and register in the CJGT app USING THE PLAYERS NAME and an email address. You can then search for tomorrow’s competition in the Find an Event area where you will find the full list of players and tee times are pre-loaded.

Scoring via the app is a simple process but if you do need any assistance with it please ask prior to play and we will be happy to help. Note to ALL players – Please bear in mind that YOUR score on each hole is ultimately YOUR responsibility, even if you are not the person within your group who is inputting it to the app! We always suggest that you double check each score by hole has been entered correctly before you finalize it on 18. If you do notice ANY discrepancy, please bring it to our attention immediately.

Important note to existing CJGT app subscribers: Please note that all of our future CJGT tournaments will now only allow registered golfers to input live tournament scores. Previously parents, in some cases, could do so. If you are having any issues scoring in the app this is usually because you are now using a parent/spectator version of the app. To avoid your player having future scoring issues with the app we suggest he/she registers again, using their own email address. This will resolve the issue. If your player is 12 or under and doesn’t have his/her own email address you may still register him/her as a player using your own email. When he/she does have an email address it is advisable to use this to register it as the iWanamaker scoring app is already collecting a number of player statistics that you may find to be extremely valuable should your junior golfer have plans to continue playing tournament golf at a high level in future. Please ask if you need more information about this.

As always, as an additional exciting and fun element, we will also be operating a nearest-the-pin competition on both days of this competition, sponsored by Edwin Watts Golf, for all players, with a gift card prize provided by the sponsor for the winner. Tomorrow’s competition hole will again be Number 8.

Please make your way to the 1st tee 10 minutes before play where we will provide a short briefing to players on any local rules that may apply to this competition. See also local rules we have added in the app.

Weather text service: Please rest assured player safety is always our priority and if it becomes necessary at any of our tournaments to shelter in place or return to the clubhouse, we will immediately advise you by text. Please consult the forecast prior to play and ensure you are prepared, as much as possible, for fast-changing weather conditions.

Following play tomorrow we will request each player confirms the app score is correct. As player flights finish, we will present medal awards to flight winners and present our lowest scoring player in each flight, aged 13 and above, with an additional FJT STEP Exemption Award that can be used to secure entry to a future FSGA operated FJT Tournament of your choice. STEP Exemptions will be valid for one year from date of receipt.
