Good evening everyone,

We are very much looking forward to another great weekend of junior golf in prospect at Ocala GC(Muni) on Saturday and Sunday and we are pleased that you are joining us for this one.

We will commence play on Saturday at 12.00 and all play will begin from Tee number 1. Below this message you will find individual tee times, pairings, yardages and flight info for this competition.

On arrival at Ocala GC please check in with Fiona at our Golfer Registration Desk. It is important that we know you have arrived with us and at that stage we will confirm your tee time and check that the contact info we have for you is correct. This is also important in case it becomes necessary to contact you quickly during this competition to relay important messages inc weather changes etc,

Cart rentals for our member and non-member players who have paid for this event are already included at this venue and carts will be issued in tee time order. Please note if you are a spectator, and not riding with your player, please let us know if you require a cart. Our priority at these events is always to ensure that players who have prepaid carts are allocated their cart before spectators.

Range balls for warm up are included and we will advise on arrival if they are already laid out at the practice area OR if the ProShop are going to be issuing them directly to each player.

On day 2 of play (Sunday) we will adding a little additional excitement and fun by operating a nearest-the-pin competition, sponsored by our good friends at Edwin Watts Golf, with a $50 gift card voucher prize for the winner. We will advise which par-3 hole this applies to prior to play on sunday and it will be loaded into the scoring app as a separate contest. Recording a measurement for this contest must be done in the scoring app and we can advise how to do so prior to play.

Please note caddies are allowed at all of our tournament events. Caddies MUST comply with USGA caddie rules and pace of play MUST be observed at all times. If your group falls behind play we will request you play “Ready Golf” in order to keep pace with the group in front. Electronic devices to assist with yardages are also acceptable for use at this competition.

This 36-hole competition will be ranked by GJGR. (Global Junior Golf Rankings) and JGS. (Junior Golf Scoreboard) and all player scoring will only be accepted when input into our dedicated iWanamaker online scoring app,which should be downloaded in advance from your online app store by searching for CJGT

An example image of the app is shown below and, if using this NEW app for the first time you will be asked to register using your name, which should match the name used to register for the tournament, and YOUR own email address. Please note we do understand that some of our younger players may not have a phone or an email address of their own. If that is the case we request that a parent registers the player using the player name and parents email address.

Please note that additional spectators wishing to follow live scoring can do so by subscribing with iWanamaker. This can be done either as a one-off registration just for this tournament ($8) or you can buy a season pass for the year ($30). The app is supplied to us by iWanamaker and will always be free to use for players competing in our tournaments.

When you have registered you can then search for the event by date. You will find that the player tee times as shown below are loaded into the app already.

There are many benefits to using this app for official scoring and we will explain these prior to play however It IS always advisable that you should also maintain your own paper scorecard record as this can help following play in the event that any errors relating to scoring can be identified and quickly resolved in the app.

Please make your way to the 1st tee at least 10 minutes before play where we will provide a short briefing to players on any local rules that may apply to this competition.

Following play on day one (Saturday) we will require you to confirm and agree scores are correct before you depart for home. On Saturday evening we will update all player scores and email you tee times and pairings for final day of play.

Following play on Sunday we will conduct brief medal presentation awards. We always try to conduct these presentations as quickly as we can to ensure you are not waiting around too much but we, and our players, do always appreciate your sportsmanship and support by attending if you possibly can. Please note that in addition to medal awards, for each lowest scoring player flight winner, we will also be awarding FJT (Florida Junior Tour) STEP Exemption Awards to those flight winners (boys and girls) in both the 13/15 and 16+ age group flights.
