Good evening everyone
We are very much looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday at Juliette Falls in Dunnellon. Venue information and directions are found by clicking HERE
Below this message you will find individual tee times, pairings, yardages and flight info for tomorrow’s competition. We will commence all play tomorrow at 1 PM on hole number 1.
It is important that all players check in on arrival with Fiona at our Golfer Registration Desk which will be situated inside the patio welcome area close to the Pro Shop. We will open check in at 11 AM. We do need to know you have arrived with us and if any tee time changes are necessary, we will communicate these to you at that point. Range balls information will also be issued to players at check-in by Fiona. It’s also important to check that we have the correct phone number on file in the event that we need to contact you with any weather update text message or relay any important info while you are out on the course. If your number is NOT the one you used on the Player Registration please advise Fiona at check-in.
All player cart enquiries should also be directed through Fiona and not via the Pro Shop. Prepaid rental carts are included already in the entry fee for all players who have paid a full entry fee for this event. All other players/parents including our scholarship players if you require a rental cart please see Fiona on arrival.
Juliette Falls advise that Saturday is going to be a busy day and any additional spectator carts, if available, must be arranged via the ProShop staff. The cost of additional carts for spectators is $40 plus sales tax.
All players who prefer to walk, with trolley or carry bag are always free to do so at all of our tournaments. If you do choose this option however please remember that it is extremely important every player maintains a good pace of play. If you do not keep up with play we will immediately request that you take action to resolve this issue. This point is particularly important on Saturday. As you are aware we are now into the late year period where clocks have changed and we now we begin to lose daylight earlier. As a result we have limited the field in this event to ensure all players can finish on time HOWEVER this relies on all players keeping up with the group ahead at all times. Please bear this in mind and be prepared to move along quickly IF you are not in position on the golf course and we have to ask you to do so.
Please note caddies are permitted at our tour events. Caddies MUST observe USGA caddie rules and pace of play MUST be observed. Electronic devices to assist with yardages are also acceptable for use at this competition.
This single day competition will be ranked by GJGR. (Global Junior Golf Rankings) and scoring will only be accepted by inputting scores into our online scoring app, which can be downloaded from your online app store by searching for iWanamaker golf. Once downloaded you will find that the player tee times, as shown below, are pre-loaded in the app already.
Official Scoring will ONLY be accepted via the online app. While we no longer swap paper scorecards, we do still strongly recommend you keep a paper scorecard record too as this can be used as a backup to refer to should any discrepancies or errors be made in the app. If using the scoring app for the first time, download it and register in the iWanamaker app USING THE PLAYERS NAME. You can then search for tomorrow’s competition in the Find an Event area where you will find the full list of players and tee times pre-loaded.
Please note that when searching in your phone’s app store for the correct iWanamaker app please look for, and then download, the one that looks like this. Note, this is the same company who provide online scoring for all High School matches but it is NOT the same app. Please download the app that looks like this:
Scoring via the app is a simple process but if you do need any assistance with it please ask prior to play and we will be happy to help. Note to ALL players – Please bear in mind that YOUR score on each hole is ultimately YOUR responsibility, even if you are not the person within your group who is inputting it to the app! We always suggest that you double check each score by hole has been entered correctly before you finalize it on 18. If you do notice ANY discrepancy, please bring it to our attention immediately.
As always, as an additional exciting and fun element, we will also be operating a nearest-the-pin competition tomorrow, sponsored by Edwin Watts Golf, for all players, with a great prize provided by the sponsor for the winner. Tomorrow’s competition hole will be number 13.
Please note that our nearest the pin competition will also be loaded into our iWanamaker app. and when you get to the relevant hole the app will identify it with a banner on the scoring page that looks like this:
Clicking on the banner and then on the contest description will bring up only your playing group. Whoever is closest to the hole in your group should measure the distance, using the tape measure provided on the green, have the distance verified by a playing partner and log it in the app at the same time as you are logging your score(s) for the hole.
Please make your way to the 1st tee 10 minutes before play where we will provide a short briefing to players on any local rules that may apply to this competition. See also local rules we have added in the app.
Weather text service: Please rest assured player safety is always our priority and if it becomes necessary at any of our tournaments to shelter in place or return to the clubhouse, we will immediately advise you by text. Please consult the forecast prior to play and ensure you are prepared, as much as possible, for fast-changing weather conditions.
Following play tomorrow, and as player flights finish, we will compile scores and conduct brief medal presentations. We always try to conduct these presentations as quickly as we can to ensure you are not waiting around too much but we, and our players, do always appreciate your sportsmanship and support by attending if you possibly can.
Claret Junior Tour Merchandise.
Tomorrow we will have available for order a selection of zip tops, polo shirts and hats. If any parent, player or spectator wishes to purchase any item please see Fiona. We are very proud of the fact that we offer junior golf tournament events at great venues and at great value for money when compared with many other junior tours in Florida. This is extremely important to us, and your support helps us to continue doing so. Any profits made from merchandise purchased will always remain within our junior tour operation.
Please note that during 2022 season should any player wish to supply their own favorite brand of golf shirt or hat to us we can have this embroidered with a Claret Junior Tour Logo for a cost of $15. The process takes only a few days.
If you have any questions about this event and you do need to contact us urgently, please don’t hesitate to call or text (Keith) on 716-436-8691.
We are looking forward to another great day of Junior Golf Competition at Juliette Falls GC. See you all there!
** Please Note if any player wishes to play from a longer tee box than that allocated, please advise a member of staff prior to play**
