The Highlander Masters Day One:

Good evening everyone and thank you for providing us all with a fantastic day of Junior Golf Competition at Eagle Ridge GC today.

There is so much to talk about in this one and we will do that later this week in our full round up and report on the full tournament. Scoring was exceptional with no fewer than 13 players in the field achieving scores of 80 or less!

This was only a part of today’s story as we also watched so many of our players achieve their personal best 18-hole competition scores too! Well done everyone on your efforts today and we really are looking forward to another great day tomorrow.

After round one of play one player in particular has really set an impressive early start for others to follow with a -4(68) Bella Dovhey (Orlando). Bella leads the field by 4 strokes at the halfway point. Closest challengers to Bella at this point is our current Champion Golfer of the Year, Nick Zarillo (Mike Bender Golf Academy) on a level par (72). and only a stroke behind is Zachary Phan (Ocala GC) on +1(73) These players will form our final group of players tomorrow…it WILL be an exciting group to watch BUT to be honest as well as those 3 there are several others who could still shake things up and figure who ends up lifting The Highlander Masters Trophy tomorrow afternoon!

Tomorrow does promise to be an exciting day and we hope you will all enjoy it. We are also being joined by our good friends from Golf Central Magazine, Greg and Bev Wise who will be covering the event and getting some great action shots of our players. We hope one or two of you will be sporting your Highlander Tour hats or visors as you know how much we value good FREE publicity for our Junior Tour!
