Good evening everyone. Apologies for the late hour but took us a little longer than anticipated to get away from the golf course!

Thank you all for making Day 1 of The Phillips Toyota Junior Open Championship such a fun and exciting day. We hope you enjoyed the experience and we are very much looking forward to the conclusion of this tournament tomorrow. Please note that Sunday’s tee times and pairings are below and these have now been added to the scoring app.

The course rotation for tomorrow is a little different. We will start at 11.56am on Fox Run followed by Stirrup Cup. Fiona will give you directions to our start point tomorrow when you check in. Once again check in will open from 9.45AM.

After today’s opening round every player flight is still open with lots to play for. Lowest score of the day and in top spot so far is Windermere youngster Claire Yang with a level par 72 (36-36-72) that included no fewer than 4 birdies. Claire leads her player flight and the race for The Claret Jug Trophy that will be awarded to the competition low scorer after 36 holes. Hot on her heels and also leading their respective player flights are Lake Mary’s Ryan Oats 37-38-75, Lady Lake’s Tripp Watkins 37-39-76 and sharing the lead in the final player flight is local Villages High School player Braxton Williams 37-36-73 and Oviedo’s Orlando Torres 37-36-73.

Tomorrow is going to be another exciting day for everyone and there is still plenty to play for. In addition to player flights there are prizes for nearest the pin and awards for best improvement day on day and a special “birdie” award too for the player who hits the most birdies over 36 holes.
