Good afternoon everyone and thank you for your player registration for tomorrow’s Claret Junior Tour 18 -hole tournament event at Stonecrest GC in Summerfield.
This is a new venue for us and one that has recently had new owners installed. There are a number of changes being made to the layout, many of which are complete and others ongoing. The new owners have expressed a huge interest in becoming a junior golf friendly facility and we are always pleased to work with venue owners who share our vision in this regard.
Player tee times are now loaded into the iWanamaker app however as the latest layout of the course has not yet been fully mapped following changes a small number of you may find that when you open the app for scoring the yardage you will play from showing in the app may not be accurate. If we cannot find a solution to this today we will still use the app for scoring tomorrow but we will refer to the paper scorecard for correct yardages. You will be fully briefed on this tomorrow before play.
Please download the iWanamaker App before play and search for the event in the Find an Event area. It is a condition of this tournament that ALL scoring will be entered into the app on a hole by hole basis. If you have any questions about the app please talk to a member of staff in advance of play commencing.

A couple of important points to make that we have been advised of by Stonecrest GC. The first one to note is you WILL need to be in posession of your drivers license to get past the security gate, the club were very keen to point this out and ensure we pass the info along to you.
On arrival please proceed to our Player Registration Area which will be signposted. At player registration we ask you to please confirm the contact telephone number we have is correct in case we do have to pass text messages or call while you are on the course. At this time of year the weather is very changeable and for safety it is important that we can message you and your group FAST, especially where we may have lightning close by and we need to take temporary shelter.
Pratice/warm up balls will be provided prior to play. The putting area for warm up is small at this venue so please be mindful of your fellow players needs, complete your warm uproutine and move to the 1st tee 10 minutes before play where we will give you a short local rules briefing.
Water will be provided for players on the first tee only. Please ensure you bring additional supply of food and water and stay hydrated at all times. There are bathrooms and water fountains at various points on the golf course.
