Thank you for your player registration for this weekend’s Junior Tournament Challenge at Eagle Ridge GC in Summerfield. This a 36-Hole Junior Challenge Tournament and venue information and directions are found by clicking HERE

This Nationally ranked tournament will attract player rankings points from iWanamaker rankings, Junior Golf Scoreboard and Junior Golf Hub (Click HERE and read Section 9a and 9b for our T&C’s relating to player rankings) FJT STEP Exemption Awards are also available to qualifying players, who hold current annual membership of the tour, in this tournament.

TEE TIMES and PAIRINGS: Day 1 pairings are shown below and are now loaded into the CJGT app. We will begin play on each day at 11.30AM and our course rotation on both days will see us starting on The Champions Course and finishing on The Masters Course at Eagle Ridge GC.

PLAYER REGISTRATION: On arrival, please check in at our signposted registration area where we will confirm your individual tee time with you. The day’s first tee time will be 11.30 AM. Please make your way to the first tee at least 10 minutes before your tee time for a local rule briefing. 

GOLF CARTS: Rental carts will be available at the venue for players use only at a cost of $25 plus tax. Please rent your cart from the Pro-Shop on arrival. Players aged 16 and over with a driver’s licence can drive the cart. Younger players and/or those without a licence can be driven by a parent or accompanying adult. Player sharing of carts is acceptable. Please note we do encourage ALL players to use carts for this tournament as we are within that period of the year where it’s vital that a steady pace of play must be adopted to ensure all players can complete 18 holes in daylight conditions.

CADDIES: Please note caddies are permitted at our tour events only for players aged 15 or less. Caddies for aged 16+ players are not permissible at any of our tournaments. Caddies must observe USGA caddie rules at all times and pace of play MUST be observed.

IMPORTANT SCORING NOTES: Official scoring for this tournament will only be accepted by inputting scores into our dedicated online scoring app, which can be downloaded from your phone’s app store, by searching for CJGT. Please download the CJGT app and register your player in advance of your arrival at the tournament. If you have issues doing so you MUST identify these to us before your arrival as we don’t always have the ability to resolve app issues on the day of play. Before play we will also request that you keep a personal paper scorecard record which can be used as a reference/backup should any discrepancies or errors be made in the app. Any player arriving to tournament, who has not registered in the CJGT app advance and who is not ready to score will NOT have their score included in this tournament. We suggest that EVERY player checks in advance that you have full player scoring access into the CJGT app BEFORE you arrive at the venue. If using the scoring app for the first time, you will first have to register by inputting your details in the CJGT app. Please only do so by USING THE PLAYERS NAME and confirm that you are a JUNIOR GOLFER/PLAYER in this tournament. It’s important that you do NOT register as a Parent or Spectator as doing so will immediately lock you, and your Junior Golfer, out of the ability to add scores! Once registered you can then search for tomorrow’s competition in the Find an Event area where you will find the full list of players and tee times have been loaded into the app already.

NEAREST the PIN COMPETITIONS: As an additional exciting and fun element, we will also be operating a nearest-the-pin competition tomorrow and on Sunday, sponsored by PGA Tour Superstore, for all players, with a $25 gift card prize up for grabs each day for the player who hits closest to the pin. We will provide more information to you on the tee.

WEATHER SAFETY PROCEDURE: Please be assured player safety is always our priority and, if it becomes necessary at any of our tournaments to stop play, shelter on course or return to the clubhouse, we will immediately advise you by text message and by one long blast of air horn. Please consult the forecast prior to play and ensure you are prepared, as much as possible, for fast-changing weather conditions. ALWAYS bring plenty of water and snacks and stay hydrated at all times.

PLAYER AWARDS SUMMARY: On Sunday following play we will have a brief awards presentation ceremony. We always try to conduct these presentations as quickly as we can to ensure you are not waiting around too much. If you can attend, we do always appreciate your sportsmanship and support of your fellow players. A Claret Tour Award will be made to each of our lowest scoring Flight Winners. We will also award an FJT STEP Exemption Award to the player flight winner in each of the following groups: Girls-(13-16), Boys (13/15) and Boys (16+).  Please note that some conditions do apply to the award of FSGA/STEP Exemption Awards, see below.

FSGA/FJT STEP Exemption Awards: Only players holding current Annual Membership player status of The Claret Tour, PRIOR to the beginning of this tournament, and current 2025 Scholarship players will be eligible to receive FJT Step Exemption Awards. These awards will only be made if the winning player scores an average +8 score against par or less for each 18 holes played in the tournament. Please note that STEP Exemptions will be limited to no more than two awards per individual player in each 3-month period of 2025.
