Thank you for your player entry for our upcoming tournament this weekend (April 18-19) at Royal St Cloud Golf Club in St. Cloud, Florida. We are very much looking forward to having you with us as we make our first tournament visit to this exciting new venue. On both days of play first tee time will be 11.30 AM. Player tee times, groups and yardages are shown below this message. All play will be from Tee 1 and we will play Red Course (9) followed by White Course (9) both days.

This 36 Hole, Nationally ranked tournament will attract player rankings points from iWanamaker rankings, Junior Golf Scoreboard and Junior Golf Hub (Click HERE and read Section 9a and 9b for our T&C’s relating to player rankings) 

ALL players should make their way to the 1st tee no later than 10 minutes before their tee time for local rules briefing and introductions. Venue information and directions are available by clicking HERE

Please note ALL PLAYERS must register on arrival on BOTH DAYS at the Player Registration Area which will be located on the external patio area by the ProShop. Registration, and the practice/warm up facilities will be open from 10.00 AM. When you check in you will be issued with tournament rules information and scoring procedure information. We will also request a contact number where you can be reached during tournament play. We will contact you on the number provided, in the event that you request a ruling via the CJGT app, or if it becomes necessary to halt play due to adverse weather conditions.ALL players should arrive at the 1st tee no later than 10 minutes before their tee time for local rules briefing and introductions. Any player arriving at the tee who hasn’t checked in at Golfer Registration will be sent back to do so. Please be aware that a late arrival to the 1st tee incurs a 2-stroke penalty.

ADVERSE WEATHER DELAYS

As we are all aware, in Florida, at this time of year, the weather can be VERY unpredictable! Please check the forecast before you arrive at the venue and be as prepared as you possibly can. Please be assured that player safety is always our priority and, if it becomes necessary at any of our tournaments, to shelter in place or return to the clubhouse, we will immediately advise your group by text and by sounding one long blast of the air horn to stop play. Should this be necessary please observe this safety request immediately. A failure by any player to stop play after being advised to do so will result in immediate disqualification from this tournament. Please note during any enforced delay practice is NOT permitted on course or from any designated practice facility. 

IMPORTANT NOTE – USE OF CARTS:

At this, and many of our tournaments, players ARE permitted to use golf carts which can only be driven by players aged 16 and above who hold a valid license. If a cart is to be used by younger players it MUST be driven by a valid license holder ie, parent, coach etc. At this venue the cost of a cart rental has been included for each player. Players will be given instructions on where to collect cart AFTER you check in at our registration desk each day. Do NOT request a cart from any staff member until advised to do so following check in. Carts will be issued to you in order of tee times.

Please note that due to the number of players we have in attendance, and other play taking place at the venue, it is highly unlikely that there will be additional carts available for spectators only use. If they do have any additional carts at any stage they will only be made available to spectators AFTER all players have been allocated their cart. 

Please note the use of carts is NOT mandatory. All players do still have the option of walking at this tournament. If you choose this option it is important that the required pace of play is maintained at all times. We will monitor pace of play and, if it becomes necessary, slow play, by any individual, or group, may result in player or group being penalized with additional penalty stroke(s). 

CADDIES:

Please note caddies are permitted at our tour events only for players aged 15 or less. Caddies for aged 16+ players are not permissible at any of our tournaments. Caddies must observe USGA caddie rules at all times and pace of play MUST be observed. Player coaching of any kind is strictly prohibited at all times during tournament play.   

IMPORTANT SCORING NOTES:

Official scoring for this tournament will only be accepted from you when scores are entered into our dedicated online scoring app, which can be downloaded from your phone’s app store, by searching for CJGT. If you have played with us before please ensure you have scoring access in the CJGT app in advance of your arrival at the tournament. If you have any issues doing so you must identify these to us before the tournament date as we are unable to immediately resolve app admin issues on the day of play. Before play we will also request that you keep a personal paper scorecard record which can be used as a reference/backup should any discrepancies or errors be made in the app. 

If you are joining us for the first time, and using the CJGT scoring app for the first time, you will first have to register by inputting your personal player information into the app. Please only do so USING THE PLAYERS NAME and confirm that you are registering a JUNIOR GOLFER/PLAYER when asked. It’s important that you do NOT register as a Parent or Spectator as doing so will immediately lock you, and your Junior Golfer, out of the ability to add scores! Once registered you can then search for this tournament in the Find an Event section. All player tee times for Day 1 have now been loaded into the CJGT app. Day 2 tee times will be available on Saturday evening and an email will be sent to your registered email address when they are available to view.

The CJGT app is supplied to us by iWanamaker,who also supply a separate app to FHSAA, for use by Florida High School players. If you have an existing account and login for the FHSAA app you can, if you wish, log in to CJGT app using the same details. At tournament, scoring via the CJGT app is a simple process and, if required, we can demonstrate this prior to play.

TOURNAMENT AWARDS

Tournament awards will be presented after play on Sunday. All players have been grouped into age-based player flights and a CJGT medal award and plaque recognition award will be presented to the lowest scoring player in each flight group only. In addition we may also make up to 3 player award(s), to qualifying players only, of an FSGA/FJT STEP Exemption Award for use in your choice of an FJT Tournament in the next 12 months. Please read our important T&C’s and the necessary requirements to be a qualifying player for FJT STEP EXEMPTION AWARDS by clicking HERE   (Section 8) Please note that FJT Awards are only available to current Annual Membership players of Claret Junior Tour prior to tournament beginning. Check if you are a current annual membership player below in the tee times listed. If you wish to become an Annual Member player for the next 365 days you must do so before this tournament begins or wait until it is completed. No Annual Memberships can be accepted once play begins. For this 36 Hole Tournament an FJT EXEMPTION Award may be given to the lowest scoring female player in our 14/18 group, our lowest scoring male player in our 13/15 group and our lowest scoring male player in our 16/18 group. Recipient MUST be a current annual membership player. In addition player’s total score must be no more than par+16 or less after 36 holes are complete.

Following 36 holes of play and, in the event of a tied score in any player flight, extra hole play-offs will be used to decide a winner. The number of holes will be advised prior to the play-off commencing. If after the agreed number has been reached players are still tied the play off will be decided by competing on the putting green area.
