Registration, and the practice/warm up facilities will be open from 9.30AM on both days of play. When you check in you will be issued with tournament rules information and scoring procedure information. We will also request a contact number where you can be reached during tournament play. We will contact you on the number provided in the event that you require a ruling from us or if it becomes necessary to halt play due to weather conditions. At this time weather can be unpredictable. Please check the forecast for the venue at Lady Lake before you arrive and be as prepared as possible for changing conditions. Please be assured player safety is always our top priority and, if it becomes necessary at any of our tournaments, to shelter in place or return to the clubhouse, we will immediately advise you by text and sound one long blast of the air horn to stop play. Should this be necessary please observe this safety request immediately. A failure for any member to stop play when advised to do so will result in disqualification from this tournament.

Tournament start time on both days is 11am and all play will start on Hole 1. It’s extremely important that ALL players arrive at the tee 10 minutes before your tee time for player introductions and a short local rule briefing. A limited supply of bottled water will be available, for players, on the 1st tee. It is advisable that you bring additional water and snacks with you. This tournament is a 36-hole stroke play event which will be ranked by iWanamaker rankings, Junior Golf Scoreboard and Junior Golf Hub. Please be advised that unfortunately the venue cannot guarantee there will be additional carts for spectators. IF the venue DO advise they have any additional carts for spectators use they will only be made available to spectators AFTER all players have been allocated theirs. The use of carts is NOT a requirement. All players still have the option of walking at this tournament if they prefer to do so. If you do choose this option it is important to remember that the required pace of play must be maintained at all times.

IMPORTANT NOTE – CADDIES

Please note caddies are only permitted at our tour events for players aged 15 or younger. Caddies for aged 16+ players are not permissible at any of our tournaments. Caddies must observe USGA caddie rules at all times and pace of play MUST be observed. Under no circumstances will player coaching be permitted. Coaching is generally defined as providing instruction and analysis on a players game/skills.

IMPORTANT NOTE – TOURNAMENT SCORING

Official player scoring at ALL tournaments is only accepted when input by each player into our dedicated online scoring app following the conclusion of each hole. Please download the app named CJGT from your app store to your phone in advance of this tournament and ensure you have registered correctly. If downloading for the first time you must complete a one-time only registration. Please note you are registering a JUNIOR GOLFER. If you are a parent registering on behalf of your junior golfer please click on the correct option box when asked if you are a JUNIOR GOLFER or PARENT/SPECTATOR. Incorrectly registering your player will lock him/her out of tournament scoring and his/her score may not be counted for this tournament. The app looks like the example below.

Once registered you can then search for the tournament which has now been updated and populated with players names and tee times. It is important that you check the app is showing your player name and tee time correctly and that the HOME page of the app gives you access to scoring. The example below is how it will look. If you cannot see the “Score Round” feature displayed you will NOT be able to score using the app and your tournament score may not be included. It is therefore extremely important that you contact us immediately to assist. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to resolve any issues on the day of tournament so please contact us today with any issues you are having! Most issues result in incorrect registration. If you don’t see the “Score Round” listed on the home page and you have registered as a Junior Golfer first check your log in details and email used are correct before contacting us.

NEAREST the PIN: As an additional fun and competitive element at our tournaments we offer a Nearest the Pin Competition open to all players. We will offer a prize from our sponsor, Junior Indoor Golf League (JIGL) for the player closest to the pin on Saturday and again on Sunday. Thank you to JIGL for supporting this tournament.

We will provide a marker stake alongside the green. If you are close, check the sheet on the stake for earlier players measurements. If you think you are closer measure the distance from middle of the hole to the center of your ball using the tape provided. Always measure with the help of at least one other player in your group. If your ball is closest write your name and measurement. The measurement should be in feet/inches. Tomorrow the hole used for the competition will be number 8.
