Thank you for your player entry for this weekend’s (May 2-3) 36 Hole Junior Stroke Play Challenge Tournament at Providence Golf Club in Davenport, Florida.  This tournament will be ranked by Junior Golf Scoreboard, iWanamaker Player Rankings and Junior Golf Hub. CHECK IN/REGISTRATION – OPEN FROM 10.00 AM – FOLLOW SIGNS FOR LOCATION

On arrival it is important that ALL players check in at our registration area. Please note this is necessary on BOTH days of play. It is extremely important that we have an on-course contact number for you in the event that we require to contact you while you are on-course during this tournament. Please remember your tee time and make your way to the 1st tee 10 minutes before. A late arrival to the 1st tee can result in tournament delays and a penalty being imposed on player

IMPORTANT NOTE – CART USE/RULES

Once checked in you will be issued with your rental cart. Do not load up or remove rental cart until advised to do so and only do so after you have checked in.  Carts will be issued in order of tee time. At this tournament players are permitted to use carts during play however carts can only be driven by players 16 and above who MUST be in possession of a valid license. If cart is being used by younger players, or by any player with no drivers license, it can be driven for you by a parent or accompanying license holder. The use of carts is NOT a requirement and players do still have the option of walking at this tournament if they prefer to do so. If you do choose this option it is important to remember that the required pace of play must be maintained at all times. Due to our player numbers, and public play at the venue, it is extremely unlikely that any additional spectator carts will be made available to rent before play begins. Please bear this in mind if you intend to spectate at this tournament, you are NOT guaranteed a spectator cart will be available to use.

IMPORTANT NOTE – CADDIES

Please note caddies are only permitted at our tour events for players aged 15 or younger. Caddies for aged 16+ players are not permissible at any of our tournaments. Caddies must observe USGA caddie rules at all times and pace of play MUST be observed. If you are planning on caddying for your junior player, please remember your primary function is to be encouraging and supportive, offer practical course information and advice. Under no circumstances will player coaching be permitted. Coaching is generally defined as providing instruction and analysis on a player’s game/skills.

OFFICIAL SCORING – THE CJGT APP

Official player scoring at ALL tournaments is only accepted when input by each player into our dedicated online scoring app following the conclusion of each hole. If you have not done so already, please download the app named CJGT from your app store to your phone in advance of this tournament and ensure you have registered correctly. If downloading for the first time you must complete a one-time only player registration. Please note you are registering as a JUNIOR GOLFER. If you are a parent registering on behalf of your junior golfer, please click on the correct option box when asked if you are a JUNIOR GOLFER or PARENT/SPECTATOR. Incorrectly registering your player will lock him/her out of tournament scoring. The app looks like the example below.

Any registered player who arrives to tournament who has not registered in the CJGT app in advance, and who has not advised us of any issue in doing so, will NOT have their tournament score counted. On receipt of this player tee times email, please open the app and ensure your details are displayed correctly ie. Name is spelt correctly etc. and advise if any changes are necessary.
