Thank you for your player registration for our next tournament. On October 25-26 we will host the 36 Hole Lopez Legacy Junior Challenge Tournament. We are very much looking forward to welcoming you to one of the best championship venues we play at Lopez Legacy GC in The Villages. Venue information and directions are found by clicking HERE This ranked tournament will attract player rankings points from iWanamaker rankings, Junior Golf Scoreboard and Junior Golf Hub (Click HERE and read Section 9a and 9b for our T&C’s relating to player rankings) FJT STEP Exemption Awards are also available to qualifying players, who hold current annual membership of the tour, in this tournament.

TEE TIMES and PAIRINGS: We will begin play on each day at 11.56 AM. Tee times will be communicated to you by email on the morning of Friday 24th October.

PRACTICE ROUNDS: Available by contacting the venue on the day you wish to play. Contact (352) 753-1450 and advise you are a junior golfer playing in this tournament. Staff will advise availability and best available rate. Lopez Legacy has 3 x 9 hole championship courses and we will play each of them in this tournament. The rotation is as follows:

Saturday Play – Ashley Meadows to Torri Pines

Sunday Play – Ashley Meadows to Erinn Glenn

TEE BOX YARDAGES: The following tee box (approx.) yardages will apply for this tournament.

BOYS 16/18 – BLACK 6900

BOYS 13/15 – GOLD 6500

BOYS 11/12 – GREEN (ADJ to 5000)

GIRLS 16/18 – BLUE 5900

GIRLS 12/15 – WHITE 5400

GIRLS 11/12 – GREEN 4800

• Please note if a player wishes to play longer yardage than allocated please make request to us at least 24 hours in advance of tournament beginning.

IMPORTANT SCORING NOTES:

Official scoring for this tournament will only be accepted by inputting scores into our dedicated online scoring app, which can be downloaded from your phone’s app store, by searching for CJGT. Please download the CJGT app and register your player in advance of your arrival at the tournament. If you have issues doing so it is better to identify these to us before your arrival as we don’t get enough time to assist and resolve things on the day of play. Before play we will also request that you keep a personal paper scorecard record which can be used as a reference/backup should any discrepancies or errors be made in the app.

If using the scoring app for the first time, you will first have to register by inputting your details in the CJGT app. Please only do so by USING THE PLAYERS NAME and confirm that you are a JUNIOR GOLFER/PLAYER in this tournament. It’s important that you do NOT register as a Parent or Spectator as doing so will immediately lock you, and your Junior Golfer, out of the ability to add scores! Once registered you can then search for tomorrow’s competition in the Find an Event area where you will find the full list of players and tee times have been loaded into the app already.

Once registered scoring via the CJGT app is a simple process and we can demonstrate this prior to play. Players, please bear in mind that YOUR score on each hole is ultimately YOUR responsibility even if you are not the person within your group who is inputting it to the app. We always suggest that you double check it has been entered correctly before you finalize it on 18. If you do notice ANY discrepancy, please bring it to our attention immediately.
