Good evening players and parents and thank you for an exciting first 18 holes of play today at Stoneybrook West GC. We enjoyed lots of great golf on a tough and challenging layout and we are very much looking forward to our final day of play tomorrow!
We regularly say it but please do remember that there IS still a great deal to play for for every player in this tournament! Regardless of whether you scored well today or if you feel you could have done better tomorrow gives you that opportunity. So, be realistic, set an achievable target and go out tomorrow and enjoy the opportunity!
The other point we make regularly is that despite some very good scores from those at the top of each age-based leaderboard, at this point we have only reached the halfway stage and nothing has yet been decided! Go out and give 100% and if you take a win you will have earned it, and if you do come up short remember there’s NO losing in golf, only learning!
