We are very much looking forward to returning to this impressive Tavares venue that provided us with a great welcome and a lot of challenging and exciting tournament golf on our previous visits last year. Please note we will begin play at 11am on both days of play, Saturday and Sunday 26-27 April. We are playing straight tee times and all play will commence from Tee 1. Some important notes are highlighted below for your information. Please read these and ensure you arrive prepared on the first day of play.
Individual Player Tee Times – A link with your Day 1 tee time, pairings and your player flight group will be emailed to you to the email used when you completed registration on the morning of Friday 25th April. Please contact us immediately if for any reason you do not receive.
Tournament Scoring – Player scores for this tournament will only be accepted when they have been input into our dedicated scoring app. App is named CJGT and it should be downloaded, in advance of tournament. If you are joining us for the first time you will need to complete a one-time only simple, and free, player registration. Please note when registering you must register as a player when asked during the process, not as a parent or spectator, incorrectly registering as a parent will take you to a view only parent/spectator payment page and it will lock your player out from completing scoring. Contact us if you have any questions or issues in advance of tournament day.
Tournament Rankings – ALL Claret Tournaments report scores to the following National Agencies, JGS (Junior Golf Scoreboard) JGH (Junior Golf Hub) and iWanamaker Rankings. Please follow link to read more on the requirements of those agencies and any conditions they may apply. Click HERE to read.
FJT STEP Exemptions – This tournament will provide FJT STEP Award Exemptions to eligible participating players who are lowest scoring player flight winners. FJT Awards can only be awarded to current annual membership players who hold, or have taken, membership prior to the date of this tournament beginning. Practice Rounds Procedure – Please call the venue direct on the day you wish to play (352) 343-7550 and advise you are a junior golfer playing in this tournament. Practice rounds are available after 10am only and staff will advise availability. The cost is $40 per junior golfer. Tournament Yardages/ Tee Box – The following tee box colors will be allocated to players based on age:
Boys 16+ GOLD TEES
Boys 13/15 – BLUE TEES
Girls 15+ YELLOW TEES
Girls 12U- RED TEES
