Thank you for your player entry for this weekend’s 36 Hole Junior Stroke Play Challenge Tournament at Providence GC on 30-31 August 2025. This tournament will be ranked by Junior Golf Scoreboard, iWanamaker Player Rankings and Junior Golf Hub. For more information relating to rankings please click HERE and scroll down to section 9.

Please view player tee times below. Please note the CJGT scoring app has now been updated with the tee times below. CHECK IN/REGISTRATION – OPEN FROM 10.00 AM
On arrival it is important that ALL players must register at our registration area. Please note this is necessary on BOTH days of play. It is extremely important that we have an on-course contact number for you in the event that we require to contact you urgently during this tournament. Once checked in you will be issued with your rental cart. Do not load up or remove rental cart until advised to do so and only do so after you have checked in.
IMPORTANT NOTE – CART USE
At this tournament players are permitted to use carts. Carts can only be driven by players 16 and above who MUST be in possession of a valid license. If cart is being used by younger players or player with no drivers license it can be driven for you by a parent or coach. The use of carts is NOT a requirement and players do still have the option of walking at this tournament if they prefer to do so. If you do choose this option it is important to remember that the required pace of play must be maintained at all times. Additional spectator carts will only be made available to spectators AFTER all players have been allocated their carts and will be charged at $25 plus tax. Spectator carts will only be offered on a first come basis and cannot be booked in advance.
IMPORTANT NOTE – CADDIES
Please note caddies are only permitted at our tour events for players aged 15 or younger. Caddies for aged 16+ players are not permissible at any of our tournaments. Caddies must observe USGA caddie rules at all times and pace of play MUST be observed. If you are planning on caddying for your junior player, please remember your primary function is to be encouraging and supportive, offer practical course information and advice. Under no circumstances will player coaching be permitted. Coaching is generally defined as providing instruction and analysis on a player’s game/skills.
OFFICIAL SCORING – THE CJGT APP
Official player scoring at ALL tournaments is only accepted when input by each player into our dedicated online scoring app following the conclusion of each hole. If you have not done so already, please download the app named CJGT from your app store to your phone in advance of this tournament and ensure you have registered correctly. If downloading for the first time you must complete a one-time only player registration. Please note you are registering a JUNIOR GOLFER. If you are a parent registering on behalf of your junior golfer, please click on the correct option box when asked if you are a JUNIOR GOLFER or PARENT/SPECTATOR. Incorrectly registering your player will lock him/her out of tournament scoring. The app looks like the example below.
Any registered player who arrives to tournament who has not registered in the CJGT app in advance, and who has not advised us of any issue in doing so, will NOT have their tournament score counted. On Friday, when you receive player tee times, please open the app and ensure your details are displayed correctly ie. Name is spelt correctly etc. and advise if any changes are necessary.
Once registered you can then search for the tournament which has already been populated with players names, pairings and tee times. When checking your tee time it is important that you check the app is showing your player name and tee time correctly and that the HOME page of the app (example shown below) gives you access to the SCORE ROUND feature. The example below is how it should look. IMPORTANT If you cannot see the “Score Round” feature displayed you are not yet registered correctly and you should advise us immediately. If you have not advised us you have an issue and you arrive at the tournament unable to access the scoring app your player score will not be counted.. It is therefore extremely important that you contact us in advance to assist if you are experiencing any issues with the CJGT app. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to resolve app issues on the day of tournament so please contact us in advance of that date!
*Players who have played with us previously, and used the CJGT app, are advised to always check their access to the app before arriving at the venue. Contact us if you need assistance.
TOURNAMENT AWARDS:
All tournament awards will be presented after play is complete on Sunday. All players have been grouped into age-based player flights and a CJGT winner’s medal and plaque recognition award will be presented to the lowest scoring player in each flight group only. In addition we will have available player award(s), to qualifying players only, of an FSGA/FJT STEP Exemption Award for use in your choice of an FJT Tournament in the next 12 months. Please read our important T&C’s and the necessary requirements to be a qualifying player for FJT STEP EXEMPTION AWARDS by clicking HERE (Section 8) Please note that FJT Awards are only available to current Annual Membership players of Claret Junior Tour prior to tournament beginning. Check if you are a current annual membership player below in the tee times listed. If you wish to become an Annual Member player for the next 365 days you must do so before this tournament begins or wait until it is completed. No Annual Memberships can be accepted once play begins. For this 36 Hole Tournament an FJT EXEMPTION Award will be issued to the lowest scoring male player in our 16/18 group, who is a current annual membership player, and the lowest scoring Male player in our 13/15 player group. To be eligible to receive this additional prize a player’s total score must be no more than par+16 or less after 36 holes are complete. Following 36 holes of play and, in the event of a tied score in any player flight, extra hole play-offs will be used to decide a winner. The number of holes will be advised prior to the play-off commencing. If after the agreed number has been reached players are still tied the play off will be decided on the putting green area.
